Salem Community Montessori School is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. As such, we depend on the generous donations and support of families, friends, community, and charitable foundations.
SCMS holds several fundraising events and ongoing programs throughout the year.
Annual Auction and Wine Tasting
Hosted by the SCMS Family Association
Join us on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Buchanan Hall in Upperville Virginia, for a delightful evening auction and wine tasting, featuring Virginia artists and wines.
Salem Community Montessori School wishes to acknowledge and support the rich community of artists we are fortunate enough to have residing in Virginia. We are also proud to feature some of the local vineyards whose fine wines have won awards for their taste and character.
Relax with a glass of wine as you peruse the many items in our silent auctions. Items include works by artists and craftsmen as well as certificates to local restaurants, B&B's and other special donated items. Our live auction will include select artist's original works and travel packages.

Shop with "Scrip" Gift Cards
The Great Lakes Scrip program is a fundraising at its best because it costs you nothing (except a little forethought), and provides a constant stream of revenue. From 3%-15% of your retail purchases will be donated to SCMS every time you purchase from these companies through the SCMS Great Lakes Scrips program. Participating merchants make the donations directly to the school.

Annual Giving
In 2007, SCMS kicked off its first Annual Giving Campaign. This fundraiser gives donors the opportunity to contribute directly toward special programs, materials purchases, financial aid funding, activity funding and general use.
